Overview

Indiana Toxicity Watch (ITW) is a statewide initiative by Indiana University that makes environmental data easy to find, understand, and act on. The platform brings together information from multiple state and federal sources including the EPA, IDEM, and Indiana Finance Authority into one open, public-access hub. It helps policymakers, researchers, and residents visualize pollution trends, site details, and cleanup progress across all 92 Indiana counties.

Explore toxic releases, cleanup programs, and Superfund sites through live Power BI visualizations and ArcGIS maps.

Ask questions in plain language — like “Which counties report the highest toxic releases?” — and get accurate, data-backed answers.

Unified datasets covering air, water, and land contamination, updated regularly from official state and federal sources.

Every map, chart, and report links directly to its verified source, ensuring full public accountability.

Health-impact analytics, predictive models for environmental risk, and mobile alerts for community awareness.
